U18 Recurve Club Record Broken

Today Joshua Chapman broke his own U18 Recurve Portsmouth Club Record by scoring 339.

Mike Williamson entered his first recurve Portsmouth score after breaking his leg this season, a healthy score of 523.

Also of note was Mark Webb’s recurve score of 547 and a brilliant PB score from Bart of 466 shooting a Portsmouth on his barebow, his previous best this season has been 327. Keep going Bart the club record is held by David Stagg at 519.

Remember no shooting on 16th December as it’s our Christmas meal.

But there is our Christmas shoot on Sunday 18th December, then that’s it until Friday 6th January 2017.

New WA 25m Club Record

Today we decided to extend the shooting distance to 25m, which made it cosy down at the waiting end.

Ian Chapman did it again this week. Ian scored 506 with his recurve when we shot the WA 25m round today. This beats Mike Thorley’s previous record of 488 which he shot on 29th December 2013.

I think everyone else who shot the WA 25m today also recorded Personal Bests as we had all never shot this round before.

It was good to see Paul Coghlan submit his first indoor score today. I hope to receive many more from you Paul.

Vegas Club Records Broken

The Vegas recurve club record was broken today. Ian Chapman scored 514 beating Scott Eidson’s old record of 491.

Maggie also beat her previous barebow club record that she set in 2011 with a score today of 287.

Wojtek and Daniel recorded PB’s today and Alison scored her first ‘E’ barebow classification score (after just receiving her ‘F’ badge today).

On Sunday 20th November Ian Chapman shot a personal best and Ely Archers WA18m record score of 505 – beating one of Roy Lockwood’s old top scores.

He even managed to make this smiley face in the target in the process.
