Thanks to everyone who attended our Christmas shoot on Sunday. Lots of fun was had shooting at a selection of targets including Christmas tree targets, reindeer targets and our excellent team game that was devised by Ian, who also needs thanking for buying and printing the targets for us.

In the end the red team won by about 3 arrows (170 odd points).

Thank you to Trevor for the homemade mince pies they went down well with our teas and coffees.

Frostbite Round

The date for our 1st (hopefully annual) Frostbite round is pretty much set as Saturday 7th January at 10am on the Amherst Field. It’s only 30m shooting 3 dozen arrows at an 80cm target. Hot drinks will be provided. Every one who enters will also receive a Frostbite badge with their score on it.

Shooting Resumes – Friday 6th January 2017

See you all at Ely College on Friday 6th January – then the next day is the Frostbite!

U18 Recurve Club Record Broken

Today Joshua Chapman broke his own U18 Recurve Portsmouth Club Record by scoring 339.

Mike Williamson entered his first recurve Portsmouth score after breaking his leg this season, a healthy score of 523.

Also of note was Mark Webb’s recurve score of 547 and a brilliant PB score from Bart of 466 shooting a Portsmouth on his barebow, his previous best this season has been 327. Keep going Bart the club record is held by David Stagg at 519.

Remember no shooting on 16th December as it’s our Christmas meal.

But there is our Christmas shoot on Sunday 18th December, then that’s it until Friday 6th January 2017.
