The dark clouds passed us by and we enjoyed a pleasant shoot. Targets out from 30 yards to 100 and they all were used. Coaching took place, personal objectives were addressed, arrows flew, there were sighs and cries of jubilation. Just an average night then ! Mike Atkinson put in his first scored round, well done Mike, 2 points off 3rd class ! Sigh ! See you on Friday 29th with luck. Enjoy your shoots.

The big black clouds dodged us somehow and there was a good turnout for the evening’s archery. Dennis was back and was awarded his Record Breakers and Makers Certificates for his 3 Compound achievements as well as his Second Class Archer Badge. Young Harry was awarded his Second Class Junior Archer badge and went straight out to shoot a First Class score in a Short Junior National, creating a new record for U12s. ( Oh! to be young !) Jason and I shot a stunning Short Warwick, so Jason is off on the badge trail now ! It was good to see Paula at the field, watching and chatting. I shall miss the next 2 Sundays, so leave those scoresheets in the box please and enjoy your archery.

A fine evening for some relaxed archery. Eric was awarded his 3rd Class Archer badge, soon to be 2nd Class I reckon. Mike Thorley was awarded his First Class Archer badge to appreciative applause. Harry Tapp handed in a score sheet which takes him to U12 2nd Class Archer, well done Harry ! Tim learned a bit about nocks and we two with wooden arrows tried to hit targets with them, with limited success !! Fingers crossed for more fine evenings and Sunday afternoons.

A lovely day to shoot, about a dozen of us shooting. Young Joshua Chapman (U16) submitted his first scored round and created a new record for Short Junior Warwick U16, well done Joshua. The master plan was to shoot Yorks and Bristols, but you really need a long day for that, so Eric and I shot an American whilst Roy shot a WA70. We all enjoyed ourselves, except Sophies day was spoilt by a wasp sting ! Bad luck Sophie.

Plenty of archery going on ! Martin Ley was awarded his Third Class Archer badge, congratulations Martin. Mike Thorley shot his third First Class recurve score this outdoor season so is now a First Class Archer and will get his badge, congratulations Mike, first class is hard to achieve.
