Saturday saw lots of us making the Portsmouth Tournament at Littleport succeed. Several of us shot there, the results are to come. Today, the 16th, the survivors returned equipment to King’s Ely and we shot the first WA 18 of the season what little targets ! Two new records were set: Ronnie Neilson set a Portsmouth Triple face standard to aim for with her compound and Joshua Chapman set a new starter record for the U16 WA 18. Indoor badges were also attained: Joshua Chapman: Ely Archers Indoor Badge G Ian Chapman: Ely Archers Indoor Badge E Tim Law: Ely Archers Indoor Badge F Well done all you archers !

We shot our first round of the BA Postal League today, a Portsmouth, our top 3 scores were: Mike Williamson 517 David Stagg ( barebow ) 496 Eric Godber 491 I have submitted our scoresheet to the League. Today Trevor Bellaby shot his way to an Indoor Clssification Badge of F, well done Trev.

Two Sundays to report on here, a Bray 1 and a Portsmouth, all results now recorded. Joshua Chapman set two new U16 records, for Bray 1 and Portsmouth. Dennis Williams has shot his way to a badge for Indoor. Eric Godber and Martin Ley have both shot their way to a C and D badge for Indoor. Conratulations to everyone ! Next Sunday our first BA Postal League Portsmouth.

Our Indoor season is well underway and some fine archery is happening ! A Club record has been broken already: Dennis Williams shot a Portsmouth (Triple Face) on the 12th and scored 561, beat Chris Collins record from last Spring. Classifications are from H to A this indoor season. Some of you have already submitted some class F,E,D and C scores. When 3 have been submitted you receive the appropriate badge. Unfortunately the system does not have target scores for barebow, longbow or flatbow. We decided last year that I would record the level achieved had the bow been a recurve. This understates the achievement by about one level, but means we can award badges to everyone, you’ll see a special column at the right hand side of the All Scores report with entries for Maggie and Tim already. I’ll let you all know what happens about the Postal League. I’m away on Friday until probably Sunday 2nd November, so, see you then !
