Sunday 4th October 2015

Our first indoor shoot at King’s Ely, with lots of people scoring Portsmouth PB’s. Also we had a few club records broken today, even though there was a slight problem with the lights in the hall. Plus I nearly got locked in the hall for the day (key holders please check toilets before leaving and locking up!)

Sunday 6th September 2015

A perfect day down at the butts, 23 of us shooting, all ages and ambitions. Tim lost an arrow, but Steve found it, two feet from the target, we must all have trodden on it ! Louise shot a record National with her recurve. Ian attained Second Class Outdoor Archer with his recurve. Mary shot her second First Class barebow score , only one more to go ! I managed to shoot my third, second class barebow score with my American flatbow and homemade arrows, so seriously chuffed, even if left with a broken arrow ! The other week a Clout Shoot was enjoyed, Best Gentleman was Karl, Best Lady Louise, Best Junior Harry. Well done everyone. Next week a National.

Back at the desk again here, sorry for the gap. Some good shooting during the last period. Congratulations to Karl Prince and Maggie Johnson, who have both attained or re-attained their First Class Outdoor Archer Classifications. ( You’ll have to wait for me to buy your badge Karl, Maggie already has hers.) Congratulations also to Wojtek Pawlicki who has achieved Second Class Outdoor Archer with his recurve. The Clout Event was a great success and much enjoyed. I’m sure this will become a regular feature of the outdoor seasons, thanks Dave.
