A very breezy 140 yard and 100 yard clout was shot today. Windy enough for a few of us to have problems keeping the arrow on the arrow rest.
I do feel that anybody with a long rod does have an unfair advantage, plus having a line of trees at the back of the shooting field always helps to give us something to aim at.
Karl arrived late but finished off strongly by actually hitting the clout flag.
Final scores today were:
Harry shot at the Junior National Outdoor Championships (JNOC) at Lillieshall on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd July 2016.
Saturday Harry shot a Metric III and scored 1113 and came 9th.
Sunday Harry shot a Bristol III and scored 1150 (PB) and came 6th.

A few of us tried the WA 70m and WA 50m yesterday. Maggie set a new WA 50m club record with her barebow and shot 175. Mary shot 130 a PB. Daniel shot the WA 70m and scored 390 also a personal best for him.
We spent a very breezy Sunday afternoon shooting a Half Metric.
Scott obtained the Ely Half Metric I record with a score of 515 – this also gives him his 1st class badge.
Simon obtained the Ely Half Metric II record with a score of 481.
Katelyn shot the Half Metric V and obtained an Ely record score of 540 which is a 1st class score.

WA 70m, WA 60m or WA 50m (80cm face)
A fun afternoon shooting a Long Metric. Only 6 archers today but the weather never stopped us….until about 2 ends from the finish when we retired to the pavilion.
After a short break we were back out and Bart finished a Long Metric III on his barebow with a score of 357. Steve Frear scored 429 and Daniel scored 520 shooting a Long Metric II on their recurve bows.
Also well done to Harry for shooting a WA60m round at Aim4Sport on the 7th June 2016 where he scored 479. That re-gains him his Junior Bowman classification for 2016.
