Waterbeach Open Day 2012
Ely
Archers have once again been invited to attend the Open Day which is
being held on Saturday 30 June 2012 between 10am and 5pm at Waterbeach
airfield to run an archery Have A Go. This event was very successful the
last time we attended, with many people trying out archery for the first
time. The event is open not just to cadets, families and friends, but
also to the general public. The airfield is now a training base
used by the Royal Engineers and Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force. Their
Open Day is an opportunity for everyone to see tanks and other
equipment, and to have a go at various outdoor activities, as well as
archery. It is hoped to make the event bigger and better than ever
in 2012.

Field Shoot at the Archery Company
Six club members went to the Archery Company in Potton, Beds, on
Saturday 15 October to shoot a round at their field targets, as we did
last year. The course has been updated and made a lot harder, as was
shown by the fact that ten arrows were lost in total on the day!! The
weather was brilliant, and it was a very enjoyable day out.
Highest score of the day went to Sean Fox with 382 points, followed by
Phil Lenney on 358 and Dave Stagg on 350. Photos of the day are
available on the Photos Page or
click
here. We hope to organise more of these
events in the future, so look out for these!
